Training programme on entrepreneurship development concludes at ACHR SKUAST-Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 22: SKUAST-Jammu organized national training programme of seven days duration on “Quality Control and Production of Bio-pesticides” at Advanced Centre of Horticultural Research, Udheywalla under the leadership of Prof. J.P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu. The training was aimed at providing hands on training on production and quality control of bio-pesticides to researchers, academicians and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Jag Paul Sharma, Director Research was the chief guest of the valedictory function.
In his address, he emphasized on the needs of using bio-pesticides in the organic farming and advised the participants to start the small bio-control laboratories in their respective locations. Dr. Rajesh Katoch, Dean Students Welfare highlighted the importance of bio-pesticides in the present day scenario for sustainable agriculture. Dr. Amrish Vaid, Head, Division of Plant Pathology emphasized the importance of bio-pesticides in the present day scenario to promote safe agriculture.
