| Congress urges LG to declare September 23 as holiday | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 22: Glowing tributes to Maharaja Singh, erstwhile King of Jammu and Kashmir, Kapil Singh Congress Leader and Member Media Committe of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today demanded a holiday on September 23, birthday of Maharaja.
He said that the BJP government at the centre and UT Administration J&K had always been vocal about the causes of Jammu but when it comes to declaring September 23rd as a holiday they maintain calm and silence on the subject. Kapil said that before the regime of BJP, they were sloganeering about this holiday and now who stops the BJP from declaring September 23 as a holiday especially as this day is connected with sentiments of millions of people. |
