KVK, Reasi organizes training programme on bio-fertilizers

JAMMU, Sept 22: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized training programme on ‘ Usage of Biofertilizers’ here today at KVK, Reasi campus. The same was attended by a number of farmers.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor, Prof. J P Sharma and Director Extension, Prof. S K Gupta of SKUAST-J. All the SOPs pertaining to COVID-19 were strictly followed while conducting the programme. Various technical sessions were arranged during the programme. The experts and farmers were warmly welcomed by Dr. Banarsi Lal, Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi. Dr.Vikas Sharma, Prof & Head, Division of Soil Science, spoke in detail on bio-fertilizers through virtual mode and elaborated the scope, necessity and benefits of bio-fertilizers. He educated the participants about the formulation of bio-fertilizers and elaborated the field application of bio-fertilizers. Dr. Sharma stressed on organic farming so that safe and healthy food can be produced for the mankind. Dr. Banarsi Lal, guided participants to start entrepreneurship development in vermin composting.
