9/22/2021 10:49:01 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 22: Shiv Sena (SS) & Dogra Front (DF) activists under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally on Wednesday against the opening of Reliance Smart stores in Jammu.
Ashok Gupta thanked the people of Jammu for their unanimous support and for observing a complete bandh. A rally of 100 -150 party workers along with traders was taken out in Parade Chowk which was hugely joined by people along the way as the opening of reliance stores affect all kinds of shopkeepers.
The party president asked the Govt to take immediate corrective measures redressing the genuine grievances of Jammu's business class.
He further stated that opening of the reliance stores would lead to the monopolization of the retail and will affect the livelihood of the masses as most of the people in Jammu are businessmen and traders.
Youth wing President Abhishek Gupta stated that the purpose of taking out a rally in Parade Chowk is very significant as in 2008 when Jammu fought for the Amarnath land it started very much from this Chowk so if the stores get opened and the government doesn't listen than the fight for the rights and business of the shopkeepers will start from here only. The party workers who were present included Abhishek, Sushil, Lovely, Kalu, Prem, Naresh and others.
