DDC Rajouri inspects RDD works in block Doongi

RAJOURI, Sept 22: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today conducted an extensive tour of the block Doongi and inspected the progress on a number of developmental works being executed there.
The DDC was accompanied by BDC Chairperson Doongi, Raiz Chowdhury; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; Tehsildar Nowshera, BDO, Mohd Arief besides other officials of the RDD during his visit.
He inspected the flood protection work at Panchayat Narian West, and asked the concerned to carry out extensive plantation to enhance the green cover to contain soil erosion.
The RDD was asked to develop three tourist recreational spots in the forest areas between Nowshera and Rajouri to ease the journey of the tourists where they can take rest during their visit to the district.
He also inspected three bowlis being constructed under IWMP at the Narian West Panchayat and passed necessary directions to the concerned for timely completion of the work.
Concerning the establishment of a trauma centre between Rajouri and Nowshera, the Revenue department was directed to identify suitable land for the said purpose.
The DDC asked the concerned officers from RDD to accelerate the pace of developmental process in the block and ensure that all the works are completed within set deadlines so that the public of the area is benefited at the earliest.
He also directed them to take all necessary measures for maintaining the quality standards in construction works and pay regular field visits to monitor the progress.
