NYK Rajouri organises Mega Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 at Doongi

RAJOURI, Sept 25: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India, today organised Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav here at Doongi.
The rally which was organised to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay received overwhelming response from local youth.
The Freedom Run held amid strict adherence to covid protocols witnessed participation of scores of people. The run started from Government Degree College Doongi and culminated at Keri.
Earlier, the rally was flagged off by Manjoor Hussain (Principal GGHSS Doongi), Zahir Abass(Prof Degree College Doongi) in presence of the staff of twin institutions and members of Shivaji Youth Club and Nation Builders Youth Club.
The stage was beautifully managed by Arun Sharma and Nitin Sharma. Anita Devi (Sr Lect), Dr Shakti Sagar, Sanjay Kumar shared their views on fitness, health and hygiene. They also elaborated on the life and role of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay in Nation Building.
The participants were also briefed about the role of the freedom fighters, who fought with true spirit and daunting courage and faced hardships to earn us freedom.
The objective of organising such types of events is to showcase the journey of new India and celebrate the contribution of freedom fighters, including the Unsung Heroes of the freedom struggle through massive outreach activities.
The event was coordinated efficiently by Shubam Sharma, National Youth Volunteer, Doongi and members of Shivaji Youth Club and Nation Builders Youth Club. The program was held under the overall supervision of Surinder Saini, State Director, NYKS J&K and Nitin Hangloo, DYO NYK Rajouri.
