| DLSA Bhaderwah hosts awareness programme on rights of transgender | | |  Early Times Report
DODA, Oct 6: District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah today organized an awareness programme on the rights of transgender through physical and virtual mode here under the aegis of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" and as per the activity calendar of Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority.
The programme was organized and hosted by Secretary DLSA Bhaderwah, while Advocate Vikrant Mahajan was the Recourse person.
District Social welfare officer, Zubair Ahmed, Tehsil Social welfare officer Thathri and Bhaderwah along with 10 identified transgender of District Doda attended the programme.
The transgender were educated by Secretary DLSA, Resource Person and Tehsil Social welfare officer Bhaderwah about the provisions for the protection of their rights and entitlement of pension, besides free legal aid.
The programme was organized under the supervision and guidance of Chairman DLSA Bhaderwah (Principal District & Session Judge). |
