DC Kathua listens to public grievances at Mahanpur

KATHUA, Oct 6: As part of public outreach programme, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rahul Yadav, today chaired Block Diwas to listen to pubic grievances besides reviewing development scenario of the area.
Chairperson, Block Development Council, Mahanpur, Raj Singh, Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals were present.
The programme witnessed scores of individuals and deputations including PRI members projecting their demands and grievances before the DC for redressal.
The participants submitted memorandum of their demands including better road connectivity, drinking water supply in uncovered areas and uninterrupted power supply.
Other issues highlighted during the programme included early completion of Sulabh Complex building and purchase of solar lights at Mahanpur, inclusion of deserving families for PMAY houses, new school building for PS Haripur besides facility of ultrasound and digital X-ray at Trauma Hospital.
BDC Chairperson put forth the demand of an allopathic dispensary at Dhamlar, provision of Adhaar enrollment camps besides smooth mobile network connectivity and adequate irrigation water supply in different areas of block Mahanpur.
DC issued on the spot instructions to the concerned departments for time bound resolution of all the issues projected by the participants.
DDC stressed upon the PRI representatives and officers of concerned departments to work in tandem to achieve desired development targets in set timelines.
He impressed upon the PMGSY functionaries to black list the contractors who are not adhering to the set timelines and other terms and conditions of the development projects. He assured that more Adhaar enrollment camps will be established in coming days to cover the left out areas.
DC directed the concerned officers to submit DPR of schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission before 10th of October, 2021.
