Dy Mayor takes stock of preparation for upcoming Navratra Festival

JAMMU, Oct 6: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted an inspection of Bahu Fort area, i.e. Ward No. 47 and 48. The inspection was conducted by the Deputy Mayor in view of the upcoming Navratra Festival. During the inspection, the condition of lights, road and sanitation was inspected. Speaking during the inspection, Deputy Mayor Adv. Purnima Sharma said that today she along with her complete team of JMC Officials including Health Officer and her team, Executive Engineers of Electric and Engineering Department along with their respective teams of AEE's and JE's are inspecting Kali Mata Temple Bahu Fort in view of the upcoming Navratra Festival starting Tomorrow i.e. 07 October, 2021. She further said that Kali Mata Temple is one of the major temple where a large number of devotees visit during the navratra festival and to provide a hygienic and illuminated environment to the devotees and locals visiting the temple is our duty. She directed the Health Officer JMC and her team of Sanitary Officers and Supervisors to make sure that the entire route from Bawe Naka till Kali Mata Temple, Bahu Fort is clear of all the garbage and dumping, and to impose heavy fines if any resident or rehri is found dumping garbage on the route to the Kali Mata Temple Bahu Fort and further directed the Executive Engineer Electric to get all the street lights and high mast lights along the routes of the temples so that we can provide the devotees and locals visiting the temple a clean, hygienic and illuminated environment during the Navratra Festival.
