| GDC RS Pura organises "Pledge Ceremony" | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 6: NSS Unit of Government Degree College, R.S. Pura organized a "pledge ceremony" in the college campus under Clean India Programme, an initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav under the patronage of Worthy Principal, Prof. Sunil Uppal and supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer. About 20 students along with the members of NSS unit,Prof Vijay Kumari and Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur participated in the ceremony. They took the pledge to make constant efforts to promote cleanliness in the campus and surroundings by undertaking cleanliness activities and thereby maintaining hygienic environment.They also pledged to sensitize the public about the importance of clean and hygienic surroundings for general well being and preventing health hazards. Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of NSS unit and Volunteers and motivated them to keep on doing such activities in future also. |
