SRINAGAR, Oct 6: Dr Sidharth Bindroo, son of late M L Bindroo, a famous chemist of valley who was shot dead yesterday by unknown gunmen on Wednesday said that his father was man of principles and no life threatening could stop his father to serve the people of Kashmir. Talking to the media, Sidharth said that he was in a deep shock after this incident as he had never expected the death of his father this way.
“My father used to live an extraordinary life. Though he was an ordinary chemist, through his dedication towards his work he has earned a reputable name in the valley”, said Dr Sidharth who is in deep shock after his father was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Srinagar on Tuesday evening. He said that based on his morals and principles every Kashmiri used to respect him and his work.
While expressing grief he said that, “My father was a man of principles. He was true to his profession and never did any injustice to his work”.
Not only a true professional but my father was a very helpful and friendly person. The people of the valley also loved and respected him.
“My father had a deep emotional connection with the people of the valley. He always encouraged our family to live in the valley as this was our motherland”, he added.
On being asked whether M L Bindroo faced life threat, he said that maybe there was a life threat, but they aren’t sure about it.
“Since the 90’s my father knew that life threats would always be there but he was a brave man and he didn’t stop his noble work due to any life threatening”, he added.
“My father’s dream was to serve the people of the valley with this noble work”, Sidhart said adding that “I am proud of my father that he served the people of the valley for the last 40 years”.
“Our whole family is in deep shock and we thank everyone that they stood with us in these difficult times”, he added.
Meanwhile, Shraddha Bindroo daughter of late Makhan Lal Bidroo said that, “I am an associate professor, I have started from zero level, my father started from bicycle, my brother is a famous Diabetologist, my mother she sits on a shop being a female lady that is what Makhan Lal made us”.
A Kashmiri Pandit, he will never die, you can just kill the body and I being a Hindu have read Quran and Quran say that, “yeah jo shareer ka chola hai badal jayega, lekin jo insan ka spirit, jazba hai kahi nahi jayega (the outer look will gets changed, but the true spirit or sentiments and emotions are not going anywhere), said Shraddha.
She further said that, “Makhan Lal Bindroo will be alive in the spirit and Mr. Who shot my father there in the head while he was working, if you have guts and courage come in front of me and have a debate, then we will see what you are”.
It is pertinent to mention here that, three civilians including famous chemist, M L Bindroo were killed on Tuesday evening by unknown gunmen in Kashmir, after which there was wide condemnation from all sections of society across the country.
