JAMMU, Oct 7: A meeting of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHCBAJ) was held under the Chairmanship of MK Bhardwaj, Senior Advocate and President Bar Association, Jammu, wherein all the office bearers and members of the Association were present to condemn the repeated incidents of brutal killing in Kashmir by terrorists in last few days.
It is worthwhile to mention here that three civilians were killed by the Terrorists wherein a renowned pharmacy shop owner Makhan Lal Bindroo (Kashmiri Pandit) was shot at point blank range and street vendor namely Virendra Paswan who hails from outside Jammu and Kashmir was shot dead and in the night hours a local resident Mohd Shafi was also shot dead. The bloodshed did not stop here and this morning two Sshool teachers were killed that too within the school premises i.e. Govt. Boys Hr Sec School in Sangam namely Supinder Kour (Principal) and Deepak Chand.
Bhardwaj strongly condemned Pakistan sponsored terrorism for carrying on the policy of enmity against India and harboring terrorism on her soil and using them to threaten life of the people & security forces in our Union Territory. Bhardwaj described the act cowardly and said that terrorism is selectively being used against the minorities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Further, Bhardwaj said that Pakistan, who has failed to provide democracy and development to its people, has no business to disturb our peace in the union territory.
The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu has taken a very serious view of the killings of innocent people and has called upon the Government of the Union Territory & the centre to take stern action against the anti-national forces as well as against the neighboring country Pakistan to prevent them for repeating similar acts in future
The J&K High Court Bar Association has unanimously decided to abstain from work tomorrow and also to hold protest at 12.30 PM against these terrorist activities in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
