Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti celebrated with fervour

JAMMU, Oct 7: Aggarwal Sabha Jammu celebrated Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti with zeal and fervour at Aggarwal Sabha near Vivekanand Chowk here today. Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) was the chief guest.
Satwantar Aggarwal President, Hardeep Aggarwal Senior Vice President, Surinder Bansal Vice President, Ravinder Mittal General Secretary, Hemchand Aggarwal Secretary, Narinder Aggarwal Treasurer, Harish Aggarwal, Anoop Aggarwal, Navrang Aggarwal, Ajay Partap Singhla, Rajesh Bindal and other prominent members of the Sabha as well as concerned Police personnel remained present on the occasion. The function started with Havan ceremony, followed by Aarti while the programme ended with a Bhandara/Langer which was organized by the members of Aggarwal Sabha for the locals & passersby and was inaugurated by the Mayor. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that Aggarwal Jayanti is being celebrated today all over the country with full religious devotion, by organizing various social welfare activities by the community of Aggarwals. He further told that Aggarwal Sabha Jammu is tirelessly working for the welfare of society by arranging free medical camps, distributed food and other essential items during the period of Coronavirus to the needy, poor and downtrodden families. We should follow the message of equality and brotherhood as a mark of honour to Maharaja Agrasen and try to follow his footsteps and teachings.
