JAMMU, Oct 8: A protest demonstration was held at Indira Chowk Jammu headed by senior Congress leader and Chairman OBC Deptt, Pradesh Congress Committee J&K, Adv Suresh Dogra. A large number of protesters took part in the protest. They took out a candle march and also paid tributes to protesting farmers, who were lynched in a deliberate car hit in Lakhimpur Kheri in UP allegedly by the son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra. Tributes were also paid to 7 innocent martyrs of Kashmir, who were shot dead by the terrorists in the last four days.
Adv Suresh Dogra said that why the Modi led Central Government claim that the nation is in the safe hands, when every nook and corner of the country is feeling suffocated. He said that the Annadata (Kisaan) of the nation is on the road for the last 10 months demanding revocation of three black laws introduced by the present central government.
Adv Suresh Dogra further said that for the last 4 days innocent killings are taking place in Kashmir by which is also the example of utter failure of the Home Ministry whose responsibility is to protect the nation. The tall claim of ending the terrorism by Modi led government after the revocation of Article 370 also resulted in failure, he added. He said that the Home Minister of India must resign from his post for his incompetence.
Vice chairman of the Wing Parshotam Mehra also spoke on the occasion and urged the LG to intervene into the matter to maintain peace and harmony.
Mandeep Singh (spokesperson), Ravinder Kumar, Raj Kumar Khanmotra, Sourav Mehra, Mohan Lal, Surjit Kumar, Camres David ( Coordinator Minority) Titus Gill, Gourav, Mani Ram, Anjali Devi, Poonam Rani, Shakti Devi, Neetu Rani and others were also present on the occasion.
