GMC Doda organises Public outreach medical camp at Bheli

DODA, Oct 8: As a part of general awareness and public outreach programme, Government Medical College Doda today organized a free medical health camp here at village Bheli.
The Medical camp was held under the direction of HOD Community Medicines, Dr Suresh Kotwal and under the guidance of Dr Walied with the aim to provide quality medical care and free medicines to the poor and needy people of the area.
The medical health team of UHTC Ghat along with Dr. Mirza Arif Beig (Incharge UHTC Ghat) and Dr. Imran Zaffer (Incharge ARC GMC Doda) conducted the free medical camp at sub centre Bheli in the presence of Sarpanch Kunj Lal sharma (Panchayat Uppar Arnora).
During the camp a total 129 patients were provided free consultation, Blood sugar test, ophthalmic examination, dental check up and free medicines. Public of the area hailed the efforts of GMC Doda and hoped for organizing more such camps in future also. It is worth mentioning that the Community Medicine Department has been organising the camps for a long time in order to provide healthcare facilities to the villagers and adjoining areas of Ghat block.
