| GDC Kathua organizes cleanliness drive in college premises | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Oct 8: In continuation to the Clean India campaign under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, NSS Units GDC Kathua today conducted a cleanliness drive in the college premises. Under this drive, Volunteers collected waste material in the form of polythene and plastic and other waste from the college premises.
This drive was especially conducted in the College Auditorium, Post Graduate Department of Geography, Home Science Department, College Library, Department of Botany and Zoology. Later on, collected waste material was disposed off in the proper place.
There was much enthusiasm among the volunteers regarding this Clean India Campaign which was launched on the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatam Gandhi.
Volunteers also appealed to other students to participate in this campaign and become youth ambassadors to forward this campaign in their respective areas for the cause of the nation. Swacchta pledge was also taken by the volunteers to devote two hours daily for Swacch Bharat Campaign.
The event was organized under the patronage of College incharge Principal and under the supervision of NSS Prog Officer Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral.
