GDC Kathua organizes interactive workshop on PM’s scholarship scheme

JAMMU, Oct 9: Department of Higher Education in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi organized one day interactive workshop for the aspirant students and parents of Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship scheme at Government Degree College (Boys), Kathua.
R K Ganjoo Assistant Director AICTE, New Delhi and in-charge PMSSS J&K and Prof. Ajit Angral, Consultant, PMSSS J&K and Ladakh were the resource persons. Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma, in-charge Principal of the College presented the formal welcome address to the guests and elaborated various benefits of PMSSS.
Nodal officers, PMSSS from various colleges of district Kathua along with more than 350 students and their parents attended the workshop. Prof Angral shared his valuable information with participating students and advised the aspirants to select the courses as per their aptitude and capabilities. He assured every possible support to the aspirants of this scheme in realizing their career goals through the scheme and explained how students can register online, get their documents verified, college selection and what precautionary measures have to be taken during registration, verification, college selection and counseling.
Ganjoo also elaborated the role of AICTE in this scheme and shares various technicalities with the students and answered to various queries raised by the students and the parents. He urged all the team members to disseminate the information to all the aspirants to avail the opportunity to take admission in various colleges of India.
