GCW Udhampur launches ARP on CAB, vaccination promotion

UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) Club of GCW Udhampur in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India and NSS units of GCW Udhampur has launched an Action Research Programme (ARP) on Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and vaccination promotion that will spread over 10 to 15 days.
In this Action Research Programme various activities will be organized with the help of SAP and NSS volunteers. The various activities included will be Awareness rallies, Door to door campaign, skit/nukad naatak, poster making competition and awareness speech in local language. Besides, cultural event will also be organized.
The first day started with the flagging off the rally by Principal of the college, Prof Minu Mahajan. Before flagging off the rally, Principal, addressed the volunteers and spoke about the importance of Swachhta Action Plan and how to propagate different elements of SAP across the community. The rally started from the entry point of Rathian village and almost covered 2 kms distance. The message of rally was conveyed with the help of placards and through recitation of slogans. The rally was escorted by SAP club members and NSS POs, Dr Kewal Kumar, Prof Sumita Rao, Prof Sanjay Kumar, Prof Sanjeev Upadhyay and Prof Tania Mahajan.
After that volunteers visited the Panchayat Ghar, Rathian where they were welcomed by the Sarpanch, Dewan Singh along with Panchs. He congratulated the volunteers to take up such activities under SAP which will help the village immensely in future also.
The volunteers had an interactive session with the villagers regarding CAB and vaccination promotion. They also conducted a cleanliness drive in the premises of Panchayat Ghar.
