DLSA Udhampur organises visit to District Hospital

UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: In connection with the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Campaign and as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur under the guidance of its Chairman, today organized a Visit to District Hospital Udhampur to Commemorate World Mental Health Day. The aim of the Programme was to raise awareness about the Mental Health Issues sensitizing the common people regarding Mental Health Issues and mobilizing efforts in support of Mental Health Care to make it a reality for people worldwide.
The Doctors as resource persons threw light on the tools which everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase their resiliency regardless of their personal situation.
The Resource persons of the Programme were Dr. Vijay Raina (superintendent, District Hospital, Udhampur); Dr. Anil Saloach (Nodal Officer, Mental Health Programme Udhampur), Dr. Amrita Thakur (Clinical Psychologist), and Panel Lawyers Adv. Pawan Gupta, Adv. Akhil Dubey and Adv. Tanya Mahajan.
Dr. Pooja Gupta (Gynecologist, District Hospital Udhampur) was the special invitee to the programme. The Secretary DLSA thanked the Superintendent, District Hospital, Udhampur Dr. Vijay Raina, other Doctors present and all the participants for the smooth conduct of the programme. PLVs Sham Lal, Rajinder Kumar, and Rachna Devi were also present in the programme. The members of the media fraternity from both print and electronic media were also present at the venue. Similar programmes on Mental Health Day were organized by TLSCs Ramnagar, Chenani and Majalta at their respective places.
