Training camp for National Women Hockey Championships continues

JAMMU, Oct 10: Training camp for Junior and Senior Hockey Championship continued at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar. This camp is being organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council. The camps started on 25th September after the selection trials. 11th Hockey India Junior Women National Hockey Championship 2021 is going to be held at Simdega (Jharkhand) w.e.f 20th October and 11th Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship 2021 is going to be held at Jhansi (UP) w.e.f 21st October. The training of two teams is being done by the hockey coaches deputed by J&K Sports Council in two sessions, morning session begins at 6 am and evening session at 4 pm daily. In the morning session stress is being given for fitness of the players while skill development is the focus in the evening session. Senior Hockey coach D Singh, Jagjit Singh and Anjali Thakur have been deputed by J&K Sports Council for the training camps. Rajinder Singh Kuku, Senior Vice President and also the General Secretary of Hockey India and Rajeev Sharma, President Hockey J&K were personally supervising the training camp.
