RKS organizes UT level Sri Ram Kavya Paath pratiyogita

JAMMU, Oct 10: Rashtriya Kavi Sangam (RKS), Jammu & Kashmir organized a Union Territory level Sri Ram Kavya Paathh competition here today at Vishavkarma Sabha, Bakshi Nagar.
Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages was the chief guest while Jang S Verman and Vijay Magotra were the special guests on this occasion. Eighteen finalist competitors at UT level took part in this competition. Out of these 18, six competitors were selected further to take part in the national level competition to be held at New Delhi. The first, second and third position holders in that competition will be given a cash award of Rs 51,000, 31,000 and 21,000 respectively.
Kavi Kewal Kumar Kewal, President, RKS told that the district level competition was held in online mode except for Samba district. Samrudhi Sen, Ritambhara Vashist and Radha Rani got first, second and third positions, respectively. They were rewarded with cash award of Rs 5,100, 3,100 and 2,100 respectively. Certificates of participation were given to all the participants.
Sandeep Singh Jamwal, State Secretary, RKS conducted the proceedings of the programme. Lokesh Sharma elaborated on the details of the competition and the programme.
Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Jang S Verman and Vijay Mangotra appreciated the efforts made by the participants, their guardians and also appreciated RKS for organizing such events for inculcating values among the young children.
Dr Ashok Kumar Sharma, Sanjay Kumar and Randhir Raipuria were the judges for the competition. Neelam Malhotra, Renu Bala and Bishan Singh Dardi were present in the programme.
