JAMMU, Mar 31: Jammu and Kashmir Cycling Association of J&K sponsored by J&K Sports Council (JKSC), organized day long Udhampur District Cycling Championship here today. Dr. Amrit Sharma (Retd. Col –Army Medical Core), was the chief guest during the valedictory function, whereas Sanjay Sharma, Volley Ball coach Sports Council, Udhampur, & Retd. Captain Ram Lal were Guest of Honours, While speaking on valedictory function, the chief guest was impressed with the large participation in the cycling championship and appreciated the efforts of Association for organising the event and expressed confidence that the sports capable of Channelize youth energy in a positive and help younger generation to stay healthy and also keep them away from menace of drugs. In men U-14 Boys Rahul Kumar stood 1st, while Arindham Ravi bagged 2nd position and Manik Magotra remained 3rd, In Men Sub Junior Boys – Aman Bhagat stood 1st, Goutam clinched 2nd, Haneef bagged 3rd, In Men Junior Boys Sunil Kumar stood 1st, Aryaman singh clinched 2nd and Titer Singh bagged 3rd, whereas Under-14 Girls, Sanchal Bakshi stood 1st, Akshra clinched 2nd position and Mani Manhas stood 3rd respectively. Earlier, president of the Association, Ravinder Singh presented a brief note on the Cycling championship, whereas vote of thanks was presented by General Secretary Sarwant Singh Gill.
The chief guest also awarded technical and officials staff of the Associations including Ravi Salgotra-Treasurer CAJK, Om Parkash Sharma=Associate Secretary CAJK, Rajesh Sharma, Organizing Secretary, Vijay Kumar-Working organiser, Sahil Dogra, Ajay Mehra, Joginder, Fardah Mughlani and Sonia Rajput.
