Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 10: Kashmiri Pandits staged a massive protest here against the targeted killings of their community members in the Valley.
Raising slogans like “up, up nationalism; down, down terrorism” the protesters expressed dismay over what they termed as government’s failure to provide security to the Kashmiri Pandits, who have gone to the Valley in connection with the jobs that were provided to them. “We Kashmiri Pandits have been turned into scapegoats. Are we ready to send a fresh batch of scapegoats to the Valley to get slaughtered? Our people are leaving the Valley in the dead of the night. We want to ask the UT Government if it can provide us with the security,” said one of the protesters.
Another protester said, “Situation in Kashmir is like the 90s, whether the government agrees or not, but the fact is fact. Minorities and their places of worship are being targeted again. We have organized this protest to wake up the authorities from the deep slumber.”
