JAMMU, Oct 11: A colurful program organized on the occasion of International Girl Child Day 2021 by CDPO Jammu, Akanksha Kalsotra. Joint Director ICDS J&K Davinder Katoch, Joint Director FCS&CA Jammu Shagun Sharma, Deputy Director FCS&CA Jammu Narinder Kour and Corporator Ward 38 Surinder Sharma were invited as Guests.
The highlights of the event included Kanya Poojan of Girl children, distribution of baby-kits to parents of new born girl child, Godh bharai of pregnant lady, inauguration of selfie point in AWC and launch of official twitter handle of ICDS Project Jammu. Katoch said that awareness regarding rights of girl child is of extreme importance. All the other guests spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of ICDS team.
