Stephens International, APS BD Bari shine in Inter-School debate competition

JAMMU, Oct 11: Stephens International Public School virtually hosted Colloquy - the Inter-School English debate competition under the flagship of Jammu Sahodaya School Complex. Pramod Srivastava President Jammu Sahodaya and Vijay Puri, eminent educationist and mentor, graced the occasion as special guests.
The competition became vibrant with the participation of 26 prominent CBSE affiliated schools of the region. Exceptional oratory skills embedded with confidence, fluency, pronunciation and language accuracy were witnessed during the discourse on the topic' Is Virtual Gaming a Sport?'
The contestants were adjudged by learned members of the jury comprising of Dr Prashant Bakshi , Associate Professor and Senior Scientist SKUAST, Monika Jamwal, Educationist and Social Activist, and Dr Rupali Sharma, Lecturer of English Govt Degree College Udhampur.
Komakshi Sharma of Stephens International Public School and Mukund Choudhary of Army Public School (APS) BD Bari clinched the first position, followed by Anvi Mahajan of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School who stood second. Samridhi Cheema of Jammu Sanskriti School (Jammu) and Anubhav Dubey of Doon International School shared the third position.
Chairman Dr Kamal Saini, IGP (Retd), along with Director Satvinder Saini extended their heartiest congratulations to the winners who took courage to propose their ideas on virtual platform. Principal Ram Parkash Sharma, while addressing, expressed his gratitude to the guests, adjudicators, participants and their mentors for their precious time and efforts to make this event a grand success. Vote of thanks was proposed by Headmistress Shweta Bakshi.
