GGM Science College students participate in poster making competition on Save River Tawi

JAMMU, Oct 11: NSS volunteers of GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan participated in poster making competition organized by JKPCC under Save Tawi campaign under Clean India. The volunteers made posters on Say No to Plastic Pollution, Do Not Litter Water bodies, Say No to Polythene, Go Green Go Eco-Friendly and Celebrate Festivals in traditional ways. The event was judged by Dr Surbhi and Dr Samita.The first position was bagged by Karsharma, Shradha Reshi, Shifali Chaudhary; second prize to Nancy Sharma, Sunanidini Sharma, Damandeep Singh, Shabana Akhtar and Meehika Sharma, 3rd prize Pallav Singh, Shaku Sharma, Ajinka Shardha, Neeru and Sonal. Consolation prizes Aman and Uzma. The Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo appreciated the efforts by NSS volunteers of the college making masses learn celebrating festivals in eco friendly way saving rivers from plastic, segregating and recycling. Disha volunteers and other NGOs helping the cause need a big applause.
