UDHAMPUR, Oct 11: The investiture ceremony for NCC Cadets of 2J&K Girls Bn held today at Govt Degree College (GDC) Udhampur in presence of the chief guest Principal Prof Subhash Chander.
Senior faculty members Prof Babu Lal Thakur, Dr Manisha Kohli, Prof Romesh Kumar Atri, Prof Gurvinder Raj Verma, Dr Pankaj Sharma, Dr Kawaljit Kour and Shashi Sharma were also present on the occasion.
The programme started with presentation of formal welcome address by ANO Capt Shivani Sharma.
In the investiture ceremony, the rank of SUO was conferred upon Cdt Ishika Sharma, Cdt Khushi Jaiswal and Cdt Priya Devi were conferred the rank of JUO. The rank of sergeant was conferred upon Cdt Ruhani Magotra, Cdt Monika Devi, Cdt Priyanka, Cdt Shreya Khajuria, Cdt Ashu Sharma, Cdt Rhimzim, Cdt Vanshika, Cdt Sonali Jamwal.
On the occasion, the passing out cadets namely SUO Sumiya Shabnam, Cdt Nisha Singh, Cdt Iric Singh, Cdt Rakhy Devi, Cdt Harshika Slathia were handed over 'C' Certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest congratulated cadets for earning ranks and also accentuated to all to work hard and bring laurels to themselves and to the institution. He insisted on developing and spreading the spirit of nationalism and integrity along with discipline.
The programme ended with group photograph followed by vote of thanks by SUO Ishika Sharma. |
