Awareness camp on prevention of FMD, Brucellosis in livestock organised at Reasi

REASI, Oct 11: An awareness camp on the prevention of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis in livestock was today organized by the Animal Husbandry department Reasi.
The event was held in coordination with BDC Chairman Parveen Begum; Sarpanch Maari B Kiran Kumari; Sarpanch Maari A Parshottam Singh; Sarpanch Agar Baliyan Mouni Bali and Naib Sarpanch Bijaypur Vineet Panjgotra and other PRIs.
The camp has been organized under the guidelines of Chief Animal Husbandry officer Reasi, Abdul Majid under the Jurisdiction of Vety.Asistant Surgeon, Tehsil Unit Reasi Dr. Vikrant Hansa and his staff,in which PRI'S and local folk were being made aware about centrally sponsored schemes like KCC, National Livelihood Mission; Cattle Insurance, IDDS, and upcoming NADCP Phase 2 programme for FMD Vaccination and NADCP PHASE -1 for Brucellosis Vaccination and their Zoonotic importance among human populations. At the end a query session was held and the participants raised questions about various local diseases.
