DLSA Reasi organises Seminar cum Awareness Program on BBBP

REASI, Oct 11: District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Reasi today hosted a Seminar cum Awareness Program on "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" here in collaboration with Government Higher Secondary School (G) to mark International Girl Child Day.
The program held under the aegis of NALSA and JKLSA and also in compliance to the Action plan issued by JKLSA under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign and also under the direction and supervision of DLSA Chairman R.N.Watal, was kick started with the singing of Welcome song by the girls students of Higher Sec. School (G) Reasi. Thereafter the theme song of NALSA (Ek Muthi Aasmaa par Hak Hamara Bhi To Hai) was also played on the Projector and showed to the participants with a purpose to aware the students about the National Legal Services Authority, State Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority and Tehsil Legal Services Authority.
The Principal of the host school, Dr. Sushma Mawa, delivered the welcome address. Advocate Rashi Baru, Standing Counsel Reasi, Faculty members Sushma Naag (Lecturer Hindi) and Neeru (Teacher); Students Mania Kabja, and Kumakshi Sharma; Preeti Mengi, Anganwari Worker were the speakers on the occasion. The Students also presented a skit on the theme of the program.Secretary DLSA Rekha Kapoor Nischal also addressed the participants and sensitised them about the role of Legal Services Institutions and also felicitated two students Mrinal Gourav and Prisha Bogia for their outstanding performance in the field of education and sports, respectively.
