| Cong expresses shock over martyrdom of five soldiers in surankote | | |

JAMMU, Oct 11: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed deep shock over the martyrdom of five army jawans including a JCO in Surankote area of Poonch today and strongly condemned the terrorist attack. In a strongly worded condemnation, JKPCC President GA Mir and other senior leaders termed it as a cowardly act and saluted the bravery of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The party conveyed deep sympathies to their families and prayed for peace to the departed souls on behalf of entire rank and file of the party. The party expressed serious concern over the rising incidents of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in which our jawans and peace living citizens are becoming soft targets.
The party also questioned Modi government about the worsening situation and asked it to take more effective measures to contain Pak sponsored terrorism which is again raising its ugly head and threatening the life and property of innocents as well as our jawans getting martyred. |
