| Grant OBC status, ownership rights on Agri land to displaced families: Manmohan Singh | | |  Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Oct 11: All India Jat Maha Sabha (AIJMS), J&K President and former Mayor Manmohan Singh today reiterated the demand of granting OBC status and ownership rights on agricultural land to the Jat community as well as displaced families.
Chairing a meeting of AIJMS at Derian Jaat De Kothe in Khour, Manmohan said that grant of OBC status is the only way to provide justice to Jats as educated youth of the community have to move from pillar to post for getting career opportunities and once the aforesaid right will be granted the community will make progress by leaps and bounds.
Manmohan said that the ultimate panacea for uplifting the community from dearth and poverty is grant of OBC status as this can only provide the right opportunity to the youths to grow and prosper.
He said that Jat community is an intelligent community and after attaining education the youths have to suffer but once the community will get OBC status, vistas of opportunities will become available and Jat youth will get what they deserve. |
