DC asks for intensifying anti-encroachment drive

KISHTWAR, Oct 11: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma, today reviewed the functioning and performance of Revenue Department here at a meeting of the concerned here at conference Hall DC office Complex Mini secretariat.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishore Lal Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Akhter Hussain Qazi; SDM Marwah, Dr. Moshin Raza; Tehsidar HQ Chander Shekhar Sharma besides All Tehsildars and other concerned attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the DC took tehsil-wise stock of the progress in the deposition of Jamabandis Parat, Patwar/Parat Sarkar, Girdawaries and attestation of mutations, progress on eviction of encroachment from State, Kahcharai, Common and forest land.
While reviewing the progress on removal of encroachments, the DC exhorted upon the concerned officers to keep strict vigil to prevent encroachment.
He directed Tehsildars to set targets for Naib Tehsildars to evict minimum 200 kanal government land per Niyabat per month besides ensure the submission of photographs and copy of Roznamcha. He further asked for timely attestation of the mutations.
The Tehsildars were asked to conduct weekly IEC activities at village level to spread mass awareness about the welfare schemes and redress of the public grievances in a time bound manner.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all Tehsildars to ensure the implementation of the COVID 19 Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and saturate the left out age appropriate person with COVID-19 protection vaccination.
He directed all the Tehsildars to keep a close check on illegal mining in their respective jurisdictions and take stringent action against the violators.
The status of the pending ACB/court cases, SRO-43 ,SDRF cases and enquiries were also reviewed in the meeting and direction were given to the concerned to ensure the implementation of court cases on priority and timely disposal of RTI cases.
