POWERGRID rated ‘excellent’ in MoU FY 2019-20 with Ministry of Power

GURUGRAM, Oct 12: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been rated ‘Excellent’ (Score 96.29) in Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for FY 2019-20 signed with Ministry of Power (MoP). MoU Score and Rating for FY 2019-20 of CPSEs have been recently released by Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance. POWERGRID’s score under MoU FY 2019-20 is highest among CPSEs under administrative control of MoP. The MoU included targets related to various parameters such as Financial, Physical, Human Resource Management and Project Execution. Apart from this, special emphasis had also been given to targets related to technology up-gradation, innovation and programs for leadership development of women employees. POWERGRID has been consistently rated ‘Excellent’ under MoU since first MoU for FY 1993-94. As on September 30, 2021 POWERGRID has 262 Sub-stations, about 1, 70,700 ckm and 4, 51, 350 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain average transmission system availability >99%.
