RAMBAN, Oct 12: In order to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava and to implement Clean India Programme, NSS unit of Govt Degree College Banihal organized a cleanliness drive in village Nagam of Tehsil Banihal today under the overall supervision of Principal Dr Manohar Lal and guidance of NSS Programme Officer Prof Ajay Kumar, coordinated by Prof Manzoor Ahmed and Prof Ram Parkash. In this event around thirty NSS volunteers participated wherein they started off from the college campus to village Nagam. At village Nagam, NSS volunteers collected waste material/rubbish, raised cleanliness slogans like Clean Nagam, Clean Banihal and Clean India. They also interacted with number of residents of the village regarding the importance of keeping the surroundings neat and clean and spread the awareness about the clean India Programme among the villagers. In the end all the collected waste material was properly disposed off at the designated site. |
