| GDC Ramnagar organizes legal awareness lecture | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 12: GDC Ramnagar organized legal awareness lecture on “Rights of Senior Citizens” in connection with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav @75 in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Ramnagar. The Principal of the college Dr Udhey Bhanu was the chief guest on this occasion. He welcomed the resource persons Harjeet and RK Jandial, both Advocates and members of TALSA Ramnagar. They deliberated on the given topic in detail to the students of the college. They advised the students to respect and take care of senior citizens. They also explained about the rights of the senior citizens provided by the constitution of India. They also told the gathering that TALSA extends free legal help to the all senior citizens including the people who cannot afford to hire advocates. The students also raised many queries regarding the rights of senior citizens which were responded by the legal experts. Besides staff members, students were also present on this occasion. Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra, Head Department of Physics proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal, appreciated the efforts of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Committee for organizing this lecture. |
