| Two day Tawi cleanliness drive GGM science college organises | | |

JAMMU, Oct 15: The NSS unit 1of GGM Science College Jammu in collaboration with JKPCC organized two day Tawi cleanliness drive. In this connection here today the students were sensitized and volunteers raised awareness about the relevance of plastic free and pollution free J&K particularly water bodies and to inspire positive approach towards its importance. This workshop was organized under aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav with the theme ‘Swacch Bharat Clean India (village)’ under guidance of Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo, and supervision Dr. Narinder Kumar NSS PO.
The awareness rally began from college and culminated at Harkipaudi where volunteers put their signature on the wall. More than 50 volunteers took part in the Tawi cleanliness drive for two days and they took out the waste (polyethylene, chuni, flowers, clothes) from the bed of Tawi river, segregated, put in different bags and handed over them to JKPCC for recycling process. |
