Terrorists hideout busted; arms, ammunition recovered

REASI, Oct 15: In a major success for security forces, Arms and ammunition recovered in a joint search operation launched by Reasi Police and Indian Army. A terrorist hideout busted in general area Rahwali Nari of Mahore which was once densely infested with terrorism. On an information about presence of a hideout, search operation was conducted for two days in which hideout is busted, one AK-47 Rifle & magazine, cartridges of AK 47, an Under Barrel Grenade launcher, grenades, a wireless Walkie-Talkie recovered & seized. In this regard a case FIR no 82/2021 U/S 120-B, 121, 121-A, 122, 123, 124 IPC & 13, 18, 23, 39 UAPA, 7/25 Arms Act stands registered at Police Station Mahore and investigations set in.
It’s a second recovery in two weeks after recovery of an IED from Mahore area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chasana. Shailender Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi conveyed that proactive action of security forces & timely recovery of huge cache of arms and ammunition has thwarted any possible untoward incident in the area where peace has been restored after long bloodshed. Search for presence of terrorists is not ruled out who are hell bent to derail peace and harmony in the region south of Pir Panjal Range.
