JKNPP torches ‘monster’ of Inflation & unemployment on Dusshera
We are invoking Lord Rama to rescue people from BJP’s excesses, atrocities: Harsh

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 15: Panthers Party activists led by Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP and Yashpaul Kundal State President Young Panthers today set ablaze the ‘monster’ of raging inflation and soaring unemployment on the eve of Dusshera at Press Club, Jammu.
The activists chanted ‘ Jai Sree Ram, Jai Sree Ram’, ‘Mehangaai ka daanav bhasam ho’, ‘Berozgaari ka rakshas bhasam ho’, ‘Daman aur Atank ke daanav ka ant ho’ to invoke deities to rescue people from the sky rocketing prices of fuel and essential commodities besides menace of unemployment prevalent in the country and J&K in particular. They also prayed for the victory of good over evil.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh divulged that the monster of inflation has made the life of common man miserable. “The public is feeling the heat and burden of unprecedented price rise of petrol crossing over Rs.100/- per litre and diesel nearly touching Rs.100/- per litre mark. The skyrocketing prices of staple vegetables, pulses, edible oil and other essential commodities had posed the most menacing threat to the pockets of the common man. LPG price with Rs.1000/- per cylinder has adversely impacted the kitchen chores in every household. The government has failed to control inflationary tendencies and was raking up controversial issues only to divert the attention of the people” said Singh adding that in such circumstances, the divine intervention was the only way out. Singh said the monster of unemployment soared and continued to multiply many fold in past seven years of Saffron rule.
“The current report of CMIE figuring unemployment rate of 21.6 % in J&K as worst among all States/UTs in India is heart wrenching. The J&K government has been treating the youth like ‘expendables’ with thousands of Daily Wagers, Need based workers and Casual labourers working in various departments including PDD, PWD, PHE, R&B, I&FC, Health & Medical Education, Forest, Horticulture, Agriculture, TDAs, Social Welfare, etc, are being forced to work like bonded labourers by the State government without paying their meagre wages for the last 4-5 years”, Harsh rued.
Highlighting the exploitation of thousands of ASHA workers/Anganwadi workers, Contractual teachers and lecturers, SMAGRA teachers, SPOs, Home-guards, VDC members, NYCs/NYVs, NHM employees, ICDS helpers & workers, Trained pharmacists, Dental surgeons, MGNREGA employees, ReK aspirants, CISF/BSF aspirants, Singh held the government squarely responsible for putting their careers in jeopardy which has forced them to face starvation.
Anguished over all the remedies having exhausted to secure justice for the people, Mr. Singh said the only option left was to invoke the super natural powers. “We are invoking Lord Rama on the pious occasion of Dusshera to come to the succour of people who are even otherwise left in lurch by a power intoxicated BJP regime. There is none to listen to the shrill cries of the masses who are facing suppression and oppression at the hands of an authoritarian regime”, said Singh.
