DC Srinagar reviews progress of works under District Capex Budget 2021-22

SRINAGAR, Oct 15: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of all District/Sectoral Officers to review the status and progress of works taken under District Capex Plan for year 2021-22.
The meeting discussed detailed proposals under the District Capex Plan, 2021-22 including physical status of all approved projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal and progress of works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
The DDC took a detailed review of all works under each sector and asked the officers to ensure 100 percent tendering and allotment of all approved/authorised works is completed within next 2 days so that physical execution of works is undertaken as soon as possible. He also asked the concerned officers to reconcile the works nomenclature and check out any pendency in works to ensure early execution and timely completion of all the developmental works.
The DDC directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments and work with synergy to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season and to cater to the developmental needs of the district with focus on creating tangible assets. DDC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
He also cautioned that any kind of laxity in completing the works within the fixed time line will not be tolerated at all. He also exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.
Earlier, the Chief Planning Officer, Srinagar gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation and informed that out of total 425 works taken up for current fiscal, 355 have been accorded administrative approved and tendering process for 345 works has have been completed. He also highlighted the achievements made under different sectors including PHE, PDD, R&B, Education, Health, MGNERGA, NRLM, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Superintendent Engineers of R&B and PDD, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Panchayat Officer and other officers.
