SAMBA, Oct 21: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today convened a Regional Transport Authority meeting wherein 14 cases for stage carriage permits were approved. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma; Assistant Road transport Officer Rehana Tabassum besides Officers from Police and Traffic attended the meeting. The stage carriage permits approved during the RTA meeting included Jakh to Dug via Nandpur, Samba to Vijaypur via Bara Daghore, Central University Rahya to Vijaypir via Rahya Morh, Tanda Buraj to Raika, Jakh to Nandpur via Jhang, Sangwali to SIDCO via Samba, Samba to Dug via Vijaypur and Ramgarh besides others routes. The permits were issued to Mini buses, Auto Rickshaws and taxi cab type vehicles. The Deputy Commissioner laid emphasis on strict enforcement of traffic rule and regulations. She directed concerned officials to conduct regular inspections and appraisal. She stressed on advance submission of reports from Police and Traffic police before placing the deferred and rejected applications.
