DLSA Udhampur holds series of awareness programs on Public Welfare schemes

UDHAMPUR, Oct 21: As part of the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Campaign being conducted under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Udhampur today organized a series of awareness camps here across the district to identify and provide benefits of Government Welfare Schemes to the eligible persons.
The Camps were held at seven locations viz Panchayat Ghar Ballian, Panchayat Ghar Kaghote, Panchayat Ghar Rong, Block Dev. Office Moungri, Tehsil Social Welfare Office Ramnagar, Panchayat Ghar Majalta and Community Facility Centre Chenani. Secretary DLSA, Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge) supervised the awareness events.
The aim of the programmes was to raise awareness and provide benefits of various Welfare Schemes earmarked for the marginalized section of the society.
The Resource Persons of the Programmes were Panel Lawyers Advocate Sanjeet Kumar, Advocate Akash Samotra and Advocate Atul Singh.
The Resource Persons threw light on various Welfare Schemes launched by the Government and asked the participants to reap the benefits of the same. The Programme was also attended by Tilak Raj (Tehsil Social Welfare Officer) and Social Worker Anuradha, besides staff of the Social Welfare Department.
Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Tilak Raj handed over a Wheelchair to Som Raj (Specially-abled person).
Later, Panel Lawyer Advocate Sanjeet Kumar thanked the Staff of District Social Welfare Department and all the participants for the smooth conduct of the Awareness Programmes.
PLVs Avtar Singh, Tara Chand, Rakesh Kumar, Sumit Sharma, Sushma Sharma, Sonu Singh, Surinder Kumar and Veena Devi Were also present in the Programmes.
