SAMBA, Oct 22: Samba Police organized 'Run for Unity' event for its citizens from Government Degree College, Samba to District Police Lines, Shah Balode, Samba as a part of its ongoing series of events in honour of the Police martyrs.
The event was flagged off by the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Samba, Rajesh Sharma, accompanied by Addl SP Samba, Ajaz Ahmed Zargar and all other Police Gazetted Officers from Mansar Morh near GDC Samba which witnessed huge participation of youths both boys and girls besides Police Officers/ Officials of Samba Police and citizens of different age groups.
This event "Run For Unity" was categorized into three groups i.e. Men below 25 yrs, Men above 25 yrs and Girls/Women.
The participants were given refreshments by District Police Samba besides stalls of mineral water were also put in place en route run by Samba Police.
At the culmination of the run, SSP Samba distributed medals, cash rewards, and certificates among the 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners in all three different categories.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba urged upon the participant youths to channelize their energies in the right direction and contribute in the nation-building.
Samba Police is conducting different Sports activities under Sports Festival, 2021 in the loving memory of brave Police martyrs for which youths of District Samba are invited to enthusiastically participate in them, added SSP Samba. |
