Commissioner Secretary visits Udhampur; reviews implementation of Revenue schemes

UDHAMPUR, Nov 12: Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, today conducted an extensive visit of Udhampur district to review implementation of several schemes of Revenue department.
Bidhuri had a detailed assessment of schemes like Land Records Information System (Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani), Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) besides Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRM).
Commissioner Secretary took stock of progress on writing of Jamabandies, illegal entries from Kahcharai, state land, common and forest land besides encroachment drives, demarcation of government land, establishment of land bank, status of mutations, inspection of revenue records, establishment of continually operating reference stations network, mapping of rural abadi areas using drone survey methodology, enhancement in special planning application and development online monitoring dashboard, issuance of property cards, property disputes and related issues.
He appreciated the administration for effective implementation of IEC activities under various schemes in the district. He laid stress on effective record keeping management of all revenue records. He said that public can search and view copies of scanned data online on CIS Portal regarding their revenue related matters. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that there is no pendency of grievances by disposing them off on daily basis. He directed the department to expedite the updation process of Jamabandies and scanning of revenue records as per the targets. He also lauded the tireless efforts of Revenue department in establishment of land bank in the district.
Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to update their revenue records especially Jamabandies in a mission mode to ensure that the digitization is completed in a time bound manner. He also asked the revenue officers for preparation of list of revenue related record of their respective areas by maintaining a proper revenue village record register.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib gave a brief overview of the district saying that the district administration has started several Information Technology enabled services which are helping in delivering public welfare services in an effective, efficient and transparent manner.
Earlier, ADDC, Kanta Devi and ACR, Viqar Giri gave a joint power point presentation about progress of revenue records and IEC campaign "Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani" and "SVAMITVA" in the district. They apprised that different monitoring committees have been constituted for implementation of these schemes in the district. Later, Commissioner Secretary visited land Records Information Centre, Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani (Azan).
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan, Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Nawab Din, Deputy District Election Officer, Dr Shavi, SDMs and Tehsildars were present in the meeting.
