Biggest threat to Jammu is from opportunist leaders: Harsh Dev
11/13/2021 11:08:22 PM
Early Times Report
CHENANI, Nov 13: Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman National Panthers Party (NPP) has said that while Jammu region continues to lose and to suffer despite the incessant chest thumping of the saffron regime, the people of Dogra land need to give a serious thought for finding a viable alternative to the deceptive politics of power hungry politicians.
Addressing public meetings in Kullasar, Naugalta, Satyalta and Dhandal in Chenani constituency Singh said that it is sad that the opposition leaders of Jammu region are abandoning their respective parties one by one and falling in the lap of either New Delhi based parties or Kashmir centric parties. And these were the very leaders who would swear by the cause of Jammu accusing the BJP of having betrayed the sentiment of the Dogras for vested interests and fulfilment of their political ambitions, he said.
"While they all along depicted the BJP and PDP as anti-Jammu parties and their leaders as power hungry politicians, they opted to embrace them at the first available opportunity and to acknowledge them as their leaders. While some of these prodigal sons of Jammu were opting for BJP, the others had chosen JKAP as their mentor and savior," said the former minister.
Urging upon the people to beware of opportunist politicians, Singh said that Jammu region has often been cheated by its own leaders. "In 2014, the Dogra land gave massive mandate to the saffron party and ensured victory of its 25 assembly candidates with both MP seats also falling in its kitty. But what did it do? It conceded the CM's chair for full term accepting the leadership of PDP whom they had vowed to decimate during the said elections."
"The JKAP and PC are granted audience by top leadership of the country without any hassles and have easy access to the corridors of power in New Delhi. The said parties have also been allotted estates bungalows at Gandhi Nagar for their political office only adjacent to the residential 'A type' accommodation presently held by the State BJP President," said Singh.
