JAMMU, Nov 14: A three-day long National painters camp and symposium organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu concluded today at Jammu & Kashmir Tourist Complex at Mansar. Twelve painters from all over the country are participating in the Camp- cum- Symposium. A valedictory ceremony was conducted where Sanjeev Rana, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art and Culture (C) was the chief huest on this occasion. Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, Film Director, Kashmir International Film Festival & Actor was the guest of honour and Pt Kewal K Krishan, President JKCCA, Radhey Shyam and Bimal Magotra, Advisors, JKCCA were the special guests on this occasion. O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA welcomed the guests. He gave a brief of the activities of the NGO. He said that the NGO started in 1999 has executed events at state, national and international level. He said that the aim of organizing the camp was to give platform to the young artists alongwith senior artists. In his address, Sanjeev Rana appreciated the organizing an art event of national level at Mansar. He said such activities add to the flavour of culture of the country. He informed that the Cultural Academy is going to organize more art & culture activities to explore more possibilities in the field of art & culture. Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, Kewal K Sharma also expressed their views on this occasion. The participating artists include the names of well known artists Sangita Sharma, Thane, Jayanti Patil, Pune, Amita Sharma and Anjali Prabhakar, Bhopal, Jang S Verman, Dr Shahzad Qureshi, OP Sharma, J&K, Dharminder Sharma, KS Gill, Nisha, Phagwara, Punjab, Sara Syeda, Gurugram and Dr Mamta Singh. |
