KATHUA, Nov 16: District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) today approved 4505 cases and sanctioned Rs 1,32,58941 relief for the affected persons here at its meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Puneet Sharma. Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Agriculture Officer, DTO and Tehsildars of concerned tehsils attended the meeting. A total of 4505 relief cases of crop loss due to incessant rains on 23rd and 24th October in Tehsil Billawar, Nagri Parole, Basohli, Kathua, Hiranagar, Marheen, Lohai Malhar, Ramkote and Mahanpur were taken up for scrutiny under SDRF norms . The authorities found 4505 relief cases complete in all respects and approved the same for relief as per the laid down procedure of SDRF, taking the total number of cases approved till date to 9291 with disbursement of Rs 2.36,78001 relief to the affected farmers. Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav called upon the revenue officers to expedite all pending relief related cases admissible under SDRF norms with fulfillment of all codal formalities. |
