JKAACL hosts Literary Meet at ThannaMandi

RAJOURI, Nov 16: Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Rajouri today organised a Literary Meet to mark the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebration. The event was hosted under the guidance of Secretary JKAACL, Rahul Panday and closely monitored by Additional Secretary JKAACL, Sanjeev Rana. Hundreds of locals, senior citizens, Students and writers witnessed and enjoyed the event held with due adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour. The Event was presided over by Khursheed Bismil, patron of MET and the proceedings were conducted by Dr Alamdar Adam (SOCA) Rajouri.
The Event was conducted with the support of MET ThannaMandi.
The writers who recited their latest and unpublished writings includes Umer Farhat, Parvaiz Malik, Imran Sahil, Rafiq Soz, Master Bashir Khaki, Ahtesham Bhat, Mukhtar Wani Saqib, Mtr Rubina Mir, Mtr Samina Sehar, Khursheed Bismil, Miss Nusrat Bismil, Zakir Khaki, Azmat Jafri and others.
In his welcome address, Dr. Alamdar Adam, Special officer for cultural Activities Rajouri-Poonch, expressed gratitude to Patron of MET ThannaMandi, Khursheed Bismil, who provided a hall for the event. He also interacted with the students, locals and writers and threw light on the importance of languages, Folk Lore, folk songs, folk paintings. He also stressed upon the participation of youth in these activities. The Patron of MET presented vote of thanks and appreciated the Cultural Academy Rajouri, Secretary JKAACL and Additional Secretary JKAACL for organising the event for locals and youths of Thannamandi area.
At the end a leading Magazine of Peer Punjal Region, DABISTAN E HIMALA BY Himalayan education mission Society was released.
