Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Div Com presides over maiden PRIs conclave cum Mega Awareness mela hosted by Rajouri admin

RAJOURI, Nov 18: District Administration Rajouri convened a PRIs Conclave cum Mega Awareness mela here at Sports Stadium Kheora to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and JanJatya Gourav Diwas celebrations .
The event was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer, who was the Chief Guest at the mega event, held to discuss the developmental activities and educate the masses about the Government’s welfare initiatives.
The Div Com also inaugurated the Peer Panjal Champions Trophy All India Cricket Tournament-2021 organised by the Rajouri Administration. The event started with the singing of National Anthem by the participants.
Vice-Chairman DDC, Shabir Khan; President MC Rajouri, Mohammad Arief; BDC Chairperson Rajouri, Darbar Chowdhary; BDC Chairperson Kalakote, Babu Khan; BDC Chairperson Budhal New, Shamim Akhter; BDC Chairperson Qila Darhal, Khalid Firdoz; BDC Chairperson Plunger, Shamim Akhter; BDC Chairperson Siot, Bal Krishan; BDC Chairperson Moughla, Surekha Kotwal, DDC member Budhal old, Shazia Kouser, DDC member Thanandi, Abdul Qyoom Mir, Sarpanxhs, Panchs, besides people from all sections of the society were also present in the program.

The objective of organizing the PRIs Conclave and Mega Awareness mela was another step towards bridging the gap between the District Administration and Public representatives.
Presenting a blend of multifarious activities, the event witnessed a mesmerizing cultural programme featuring folk dance and music and detailed manifestation of government policies and schemes meant for socio-economic development of the people.
At the outset, District Development Commissioner and Vice Chairman DDC Rajouri, spoke in detail about the developmental vision and targets of the District Development Council and the district administration.
After inaugurating the Peer Panjal Champions Trophy All India Cricket Tournament-2021, the Div Com congratulated the District Administration for organizing the grand tournament to engage the youth in sports to promote sports culture in the district. Interacting with the players, the Div Com said that the giving impetus to sports activities along with the creation of broad based sports infrastructure was the top priority of LG’s administration, He also said that sportspersons are blessed with several qualities and one of these qualities is that they develop a team spirit which helps them to excel in their lives.
The Div Com also added that the same spirit should be replicated for constructing a progressive and harmonious society.
Addressing the public representatives, the visiting officer said that such joint meetings of the Public representatives and officers are convened to bridge the gap between the Administration and elected representatives.
He also highlighted that the developmental plans are being drafted with due consultation of the Public representatives and they are being made an essential part of the development structure.
Underlining that the accountability of public institutions has been increased, he said the grievance redressal mechanism has been strengthened to the core which in turn has made the public institutions more accountable, answerable and transparent to the people.
He also appreciated the District Administration for its efforts towards ensuring the prompt, smooth and hassle free services to the common masses.
The Div Com also lauded innovative approaches of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, towards a prompt public delivery system and reaching to the masses.
Laying special emphasis on proactive measures to resolve people’s grievances through accountable and responsive governance, the Div Com asked the officers to serve people with dedication, and address their concerns within a stipulated time frame besides ensuring that all the benefits of central and UT schemes are delivered with total transparency.
Taking the awareness of Land Record Information Systems to the places, the Div Com also flagged off Digital Awareness van to aware public about “Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani” in the district.
He said the initiative will facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land Records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially.
Under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir has achieved an important milestone by providing the most transparent & accountable services to the common people, he added.
Meanwhile, the Div Com attended another function organised by Rotary Club Rajouri, where the Officer handed over 20 portable Oxygen concentrators to the Health and Medical Education. The oxygen concentrators were provided by the Rotary club Rajouri. President K K Langer, District Secretary Admin, Ashish Langer were also present on the occasion.
