| Athletics Meet concludes at GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 18: Inter-Zonal District Level Athletic Meet AAG Girls Section being held at Govt College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar, Jammu concluded today.
The event in which competitors from all 14 zones of District Jammu took part while more than 160 girl athletes participated was organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports District Jammu.
The Meet was organized under the chairmanship of Gazanfer Ali, JKAS Director Youth Services & Sports JK UT Jammu and under overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma. The participants took part in various events like 100 mtr, 600 mtr, 800 mtr, 1500 mtr, long jump, triple jump, discuss throw, shot put and javelin throw.
DYSSO Jammu interacted with the participants and advised them to show the hidden talent in best way under rules of the meet. The organizing committee members and officials of the District Jammu were also present at the venue. The main focus of the meet was to select best athletes for next level of competitions coming ahead. All committee members along with conveners and other technical staff members were present during the meet. Food Refreshment and transport charges were born by the District Youth Services & Sports Office Jammu at the venue. |
