Civil Defence organizes awareness programme

JAMMU, Nov 22: An awareness-cum-demonstration programme held at Gurah Bakshi Nagar Jammu. The awareness programme was organized by Civil Defence (CD) Jammu under the supervision of Dy SP Anita Pawar, Dy Controller Civil Defence Jammu. This was a community Disaster Management programme for the public of the Area. In the awareness programme, 50 civilians including ladies of the area participated. Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Fire fighting, and other Emergency rescue methods were given by the Civil Defence expert. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics was also presented by the Civil Defence team. The programme was co-ordinate by Ravinder Singh, President Mohalla Shhabilian Gurah Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. During the awareness programme SOPs as well as guidelines issued by the Govt of J&K regarding COVID-19 was properly followed.
While speaking on the occasion Dy SP Anita Pawar delivered valuable lectures on the topics of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization. Chief Warden CD Jammu Paramjeet Kumar also delivered a valuable lecture.
Besides others R Vijay Magotra, Dy Chief warden CD Jammu, Vinod Sharma, Divisional Warden CD Jammu, Amit Kumar Post Warden were also present in the awareness camp.
